About the role
We are looking for an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead Atrogi through its next phase of clinical and corporate development, as the company advances its lead candidates towards and through Phase II trials and prepares to engage investors and partners internationally.
As CEO, you will have overall responsibility for the company's strategic direction, operations and performance, and will act as the primary link between the Board of Directors, the management team, employees, investors and external partners.
Key responsibilities
Set and execute the company's overall strategy, in close cooperation with the Board of Directors, to advance Atrogi's clinical pipeline and corporate development.
Lead and develop the management team and the wider organisation, fostering a strong scientific and collaborative culture.
Take overall responsibility for the company's clinical development program, including progression of ATR-258 into and through Phase II trials.
Lead fundraising efforts and investor relations, including engagement with existing and prospective shareholders, partners and financial stakeholders.
Represent the company externally towards partners, licensors/licensees, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.
Ensure sound financial management and governance, together with the CFO and the Board.
Ensure the company's operations comply with applicable laws, regulations and good corporate governance practices.
QUALIFICATIONS/DIN PROFIL
We are looking for a candidate who has:
An advanced degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field such as chemistry, pharmacology, biology or medicine.
Extensive senior leadership experience (typically 15+ years) within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, including prior experience as CEO, COO or in another senior executive role.
A proven track record of leading and scaling biotech companies from early discovery through clinical development, including responsibility for clinical-stage drug development programs.
Strong experience in fundraising, investor relations and/or biotech investment, including engagement with venture capital, foundations or institutional investors.
Experience serving on or working closely with boards of directors in a governance capacity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Scandinavian languages is meritorious but not required.
Experience within GPCR-focused drug discovery, metabolic disease or related therapeutic areas is considered a strong merit.
