A key aspect of a design driven company is its digital experience. Understanding the customer and how they see, feel and interact with our brand on a digital level is fundamental. Encompassing the functions of In-Car UI/UX and Beyond Car CX, Design Visualisation, externally facing Visualisation and AI. The Digital Design Experience team brings the Brand look and feel to a variety of digital touchpoints for the customer.

The role of Senior Digital CG Image Artist holds an important position in creating digital imagery of Designs both in an internally facing and customer facing capacity. Generating high-end visuals for web, social and print media as well as internal and external Design events, the successful candidate should have a proven record in creating content that showcases a new vehicle from Design to public reveal.

Job Purpose/Role

• Creation of high-end photorealistic CGI imagery for design reviews, management presentations, internal events, vehicle premieres and public reveal activities
• Development of premium digital assets for external communication channels, including web, social media, marketing activations and point-of-sale applications
• Preparation, optimization and integration of design data from various digital creation environments (e.g. Alias, Maya, Blender) throughout both early concept phases and production release stages
• Development and application of highly realistic digital materials that accurately reflect physical surface, color and material properties
• Creation of bespoke lighting concepts and studio environments to showcase vehicle designs with the highest level of quality and realism
• Retouching, compositing and final refinement of digital imagery to achieve premium visual standards
• Creation of photorealistic vehicle visualizations in studio, outdoor and hybrid photographic environments, including the integration of CGI content into photography-based scenes Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• Degree in Transport, Automotive or Product Design with a focus on Visualisation, CGI or Animation; or Degree in VFX, Animation or CGI related fields with a focus on Automotive
• Very good Visualisation software and Visualisation pipeline knowledge, especially VFX, Animation or CGI orientated Degree level qualification
• Highly Creative
• Strong Communicator
• Extensive knowledge and experience of all aspects of Design and Customer facing Visualisation
• Exceptional hands-on CGI Image creation skills
• Excellent time management and project management ability
• Identify new, workflows and processes to improve time to production
• Able to work on faster Design Visualisation projects as well as longer customer facing projects
• A passion for the imagery, animation, film and photography
• Strong understanding of how to successfully light and shape a vehicle design
• Best practice knowledge for image and animation creation
• Very good Visualisation software and Visualisation pipeline knowledge
• Material Creation abilities

Additional Desired Requirements

• A strong understanding of animation requirements and animation processes
• Ability to create animations is desired but not required
• Strong understanding of film and photography processes with some experience of vehicle photoshoots
• Understanding of digital modelling processes and how they best support a successful Visualisation pipeline Understanding of digital material creation pipelines and best practice
