Role: QA Automation Engineer

Location: 100% Remote, Portugal

Required skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in test automation.
• Recent and solid experience developing and maintaining automated tests with Java.
• Proven experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience implementing and maintaining automation frameworks based on Page Object Model (POM).
• Experience writing and maintaining tests using BDD/Gherkin.
• Ability to design, develop and execute functional and regression automated tests.
• Solid knowledge of automation best practices, including code reuse, test parametrization and test data management.
• Experience analysing, diagnosing and resolving failures identified during test execution.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing tools and practices.
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with API testing and validation tools such as Postman or similar.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL queries for data validation.
• Knowledge of version control with SVN.
• Solid knowledge of Quality Assurance best practices.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
• Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy and proactivity.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Nice to have: ISTQB Foundation or higher certification.
• Nice to have: Jira or similar backlog, test and defect management tools.
• Nice to have: TestNG, JUnit or similar testing frameworks.
• Nice to have: CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Azure DevOps or equivalents.
• Nice to have: Git.
• Nice to have: Performance or security testing experience.
• Nice to have: Participation in the definition of automation strategies.
• Nice to have: Mentoring or support of junior team members.
