Work closely with talented game developers, bringing development and Publishing together to help teams stay on track and deliver great games, from development through release and beyond.
Apply for this job
We are looking for a Publishing Producer to join our team and work closely with our third-party development studios and help bring great games successfully through the full development lifecycle, from early development through release and beyond. You will be the key link between our external developers and the Publishing organization, integrating Publishing needs, activities, and timelines into development and connecting teams with the right expertise across Paradox.
You will stay close to the game, the development plan, and the team behind it, maintaining a clear and realistic view of progress. You will build strong relationships, identify risks, challenge assumptions, solve problems, and make sure the right people have the information and support they need to make good decisions.
Your goal is straightforward: be part of the team building great games, ensuring they are delivered at the right quality, on time, and within production budget.
In this role, you will:
- Review and assess development plans and milestone schedules, challenging assumptions and identifying risks, gaps, and dependencies, while ensuring Publishing activities, requirements, and timelines are integrated into the overall production plan.
- Build a strong and trusted relationship with the external developer, acting as their main production connection into Paradox and connecting them with the Product Team and the right expertise across Publishing.
- Stay close to development by reviewing builds and milestone deliverables, critically assessing progress and the game experience against agreed goals, and working with the developer and Product Team to identify what needs attention and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Maintain a clear view of schedule, budget, scope, quality, dependencies, and major risks, ensuring the Product Team has an accurate understanding of project health.
- Solve problems, remove blockers, and navigate trade-offs between time, budget, scope, and quality.
- Provide clear, concise, and honest communication about project health, risks, decisions, and next steps to relevant stakeholders.
- Support project reviews and key decision points by ensuring development status, risks, quality, and production needs, and necessary escalations are understood.
- Contribute to continuously improving how Publishing Producers work at Paradox, helping us strengthen our approach to third-party development and find better ways of connecting development and Publishing.
The skills we are looking for
- Strong understanding of game development and production, with hands-on experience working with development teams, builds, milestones, and production plans and how these impact quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Experience working in games publishing and coordinating complex projects across development teams, Publishing disciplines, and multiple stakeholders.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with good technical understanding and judgment. You can assess plans and progress, identify risks and dependencies early, challenge assumptions, plan for contingencies, and know when to involve specialist expertise or escalate.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust across teams and organizations, ask difficult questions constructively, and communicate complex information clearly.
What we offer
The chance to work on some of the most beloved strategy and management games in the industry, alongside talented and passionate colleagues. Opportunities to professionally grow your career within Publishing.
