Fullstack Developer
Airpelago · Stockholm, Sweden
You apply off-site, with the employer or the job board. I never handle applications.
Airpelago is the European leader in power line inspections using autonomous drones. Headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, we also have offices in Stockholm, England, France, and Germany. By combining cutting-edge data processing techniques with our in-house developed software, we help our clients conduct greener, safer, and more efficient inspections.
With a flat organizational structure and a dynamic, curious team, we value creativity and problem-solving.
About the Role
As a Backend Developer at Airpelago, you will play a key role in advancing our products and systems. Your work will involve optimizing database queries, building new APIs, and developing scalable software solutions that our customers can directly engage with. This role offers the opportunity to independently drive changes from concept to completion, with support from the team.
We are looking for someone who enjoys contributing broadly to the development process and can step in where needed. You will have the chance to take ownership and shape our technical solutions for end users.
Your Qualifications
- 3–4 years of experience in backend development (or more – the exact number of years is not the most important factor).
- Swedish citizenship (required due to client requirements).
- A strong technical interest and a proactive attitude.
- Experience working with scalable applications serving a large number of end users. We view programming as a craft that can be applied across various programming languages and platforms. We primarily use Go, AWS, and Kubernetes. While it’s not a requirement, we would love to find someone with front-end development experience as well—especially in TypeScript/React and Kotlin for mobile applications..
Benefits
At Airpelago, you’ll be part of shaping the future of inspection solutions with autonomous drones. We offer:
- 4.5% occupational pension
- 5,000 SEK annual wellness allowance
- Remote office trips 1–2 times per year (recently we’ve been to Mallorca and Tenerife)
- A fast-paced, iterative work environment that encourages testing and learning.
- A highly skilled and engaged tech team.
- Stability through long-term customer contracts and strong financial security.
