For our dynamic Procurement Team in Gunskirchen, we are currently looking for a GROUP LEADER REGIONAL SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEERING (m/f/d)

The selected candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of the Regional Supplier Quality Engineering team. This role ensures the delivery quality of the regional supply base during serial production by driving supplier development, managing critical escalations, and fostering a culture of zero defects. The Group Leader acts as a bridge between the operational SQE team, purchasing, and internal production customers to ensure compliance with BRP/Rotax quality standards.

Among the others, our Group Leader responsibilities:

Performance Monitoring: oversee the analysis of quality-relevant KPIs (PPM, number of claims) and ensure the team derives necessary measures for sustainable error prevention

Escalation Management: Lead interdisciplinary quality and escalation meetings; support the team in handling critical claims and supplier Q-escalations.

Supplier Development: Steer the serial supplier development programs; ensure the team defines and executes effective measures to improve supplier performance.

Process Compliance: Ensure the correct execution of supplier release audits, change management (in series), and maintenance of master data/inspection plans in the ERP/Q system.

Interface Management: Collaborate closely with NPD SQE (New Product Development) to ensure a smooth transition from project phase to serial production.

QUALIFICATIONS

University degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in the fields of Mechanics, Electronics, Production, Quality

At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within multinational companies and with a proven track record in Supplier Management

Deep knowledge of quality norms (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA).

Expertise in quality methods (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, FMEA, APQP, PPAP).

A previous experience in managing a Team of direct reports will be considered a valuable asset to cover the role.

Proficient in SAP and CAQ systems.

Previous people management experience

Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T.

Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is highly desirable.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 66,741.01 gross/year according to the very attractive collective agreement of the metal industry. An overpayment is possible, depending on your qualifications and experience.
