We are looking for a Vice President Global Air Fleet Planning based in Bonn, Germany or Belgium.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

Support all aircraft fleet acquisitions and disposals from inception through to steady state operation

Develop capital spending plans to support fleet acquisitions

Evaluate cargo conversion, engine, and major component programs for suitability and affordability to the global fleet

Coordinate with DHL airlines to ensure fleet plans are consistent with long term strategies

Maintain fleet plans and statistics of the global fleet
-
Represent Global Aviation in corporate sustainability efforts including carbon reporting and mitigation, and carbon limiting technology development

Create standard costing and performance of aircraft in the fleet and provide analysis for comparison with target aircraft

Short and long range fleet planning and analysis of network capacity and service needs

Input to and alignment with planning regional and Intercontinental airlines

Directed study of aircraft capability, major component suitability and affordability for meeting the network mission

Financial analysis of funding sources and effects on affordability
-
Statistical reporting of fleet performance in all dimensions

Standard costing reports and analysis

Creation of strong alignment and ties between the Global Fleet Plan and functional units in regional and Intercontinental airlines, along with corporate functions of Finance, Legal, Tax, and Procurement,

Focused communications role in maintaining up to date information to a broad range of decision makers and functional actors. Do you have what it takes? ==============================

University graduate degree required
-
Postgraduate degree (preferably in finance, engineering, legal) desired
-
20 years in senior technical (cargo) airline management position
-
Outstanding business acumen and major/ investment decision making capabilities

Profound knowledge of airline, air express and logistics industry

Superior communication , relationship management and negotiation skills
-
Excellent understanding of aircraft finance, technical and regulatory parameters
-
Advanced entrepreneurial and project/ program management competencies
-
Comprehensive aircraft, engines and parts market knowledge
