SAP EWM Techno Functional Lead (M/F/D) Darmstadt, Germany (Lead I - Enterprise Solutions)

Role description

We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Technical Lead / Consultant to support and enhance our SAP Distribution landscape, with a primary focus on SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and exposure to SAP Transportation Management (TM). This is a techno-functional role requiring strong SAP functional expertise, technical troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting global SAP environments. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, development teams, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and global delivery teams across Europe, India, and the US.

Employment Type: Fixed term employment ontract

Duration: 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide functional and technical support for SAP EWM processes and related distribution solutions.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve complex SAP application and integration issues.
• Evaluate custom developments and collaborate with development teams on enhancements and defect fixes.
• Manage SAP transport activities, including Transport Requests (TRs), Transport of Copies (TOCs), approvals, and deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot transport release, import, queue, and short dump issues across SAP environments.
• Support end-to-end project activities, including change requests, defect management, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and AMS transitions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, EPPs, CoEs, Change Control Boards (CCB), and global stakeholders.
• Participate in operational governance forums, status meetings, and issue triage discussions.
• Ensure high-quality documentation and compliance with established delivery standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).
• Good understanding of SAP TM (Transportation Management).
• Experience in SAP application support, incident management, and production support environments.
• Technical expertise in:

• SAP BTP
• SAP Fiori
• Eclipse
• OData Services
• ALE/IDocs
• DRF
• SOA Services
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience working within global SAP delivery and support teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• SAP Cloud ALM experience.
• SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) knowledge.
• Experience with Change Requests (CR), Defect Corrections (DC), transport log analysis, and release management.
• Knowledge of documentation governance and preparation of:
• Functional Design Documents (FDD)
• Configuration Documents (CD)
• Technical Design Specifications (TDS)
