Information Security Officer - Bridge the gap between information security and business

As Information Security Officer, you will help strengthen and mature global information security across ABENA. Your mission is not simply to ensure compliance, but to help the organization make informed decisions, manage risks effectively and embed information security into the way we work every day.

You will play a key role in initiatives such as ensuring continuous ISO 27001 and NIS2 compliance, translating requirements into meaningful actions and driving the organizational changes needed to make them successful.

Success in this role comes from your ability to turn requirements into action and build trust across the organization. You enjoy working with people, challenging constructively and finding solutions that work in the real world rather than only on paper. We are looking for someone who can bridge the gap between information security and business.

Your main responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of security initiatives by engaging stakeholders, creating understanding, and helping teams translate requirements into everyday practices.
• Lead activities related to ISO 27001 certification, including internal audits, control reviews, and follow-up on improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate risk assessments, business continuity activities and risk reporting to strengthen organizational resilience.
• Coordinate the handling of information security incidents and ensure lessons learned are translated into tangible actions.
• Drive the continuous development of ABENA's information security framework and security culture together with stakeholders across the organization.

• You are pragmatic in your approach and focus on helping the business move forward while managing risks appropriately.
• You thrive working both independently and as part of cross-functional teams and projects.
• You are curious about new technologies, including AI, and see opportunities to combine innovation with responsible security practices.

The position is based at ABENA's headquarters in Aabenraa, Denmark, with the possibility to work from our office in Kolding when relevant.
