Salary: approx. €85.000 – €115.000 gross per annum

Your tasks:

• Take technical ownership of the development and aircraft-level integration of mechanical and non-electrical systems
• Define and coordinate system architectures, mechanical interfaces, installation concepts, and associated engineering documentation
• Ensure the effective integration of mechanical systems into aluminium and composite aircraft structures
• Manage design changes, modifications, and technical improvements throughout the aircraft development lifecycle
• Provide technical guidance during prototype build, production, system installation, and troubleshooting activities
• Define, prepare, and support system-level, ground, and flight testing, including evaluation of technical findings
• Coordinate system interfaces and technical dependencies across relevant ATA chapters and engineering disciplines
• Support aircraft certification activities and demonstrate compliance with EASA CS-23 / Part 23, including the preparation of certification evidence

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
• At least 5 years of professional experience in aircraft development, mechanical systems integration and/or aircraft certification
• Strong knowledge of EASA CS-23 / Part 23 requirements and practical experience within an aircraft certification environment
• Experience with at least three relevant mechanical ATA chapters, e.g. ATA 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 35, 36, 37, 49 or 7X
• Solid experience in aircraft-level mechanical integration, including interfaces with aluminium and composite structures
• Good understanding of mechanical system design, certification documentation, verification, safety requirements and testing
• Excellent English skills (C1); German language skills are an advantage
• Due to the security-sensitive nature of the position, citizenship of an EU or NATO member state and residence in Germany are required. Applications that do not meet these requirements cannot be considered.
