Are you a Technical Project Manager who can shape one honest view of where a project actually stands, across three disciplines?

For a dedicated, full-time team building a complex mobile application for a US-based Fortune 500 client, DNA.inc is looking for a Technical Project Manager to own execution end to end.

In this role, you'll coordinate our efforts in design, Android, and iOS, in partnership with discipline leads, across a team of eight to fifteen people. Design work has to land ahead of build without going stale, Android and iOS move at different speeds and risk drifting out of parity, and you're the person holding all three in one cadence. If this gets your pulse going, read on!

About the job

In this long-term partnership, our client owns product management and DNA.inc drives engineering, design, and program management.

As the TPM on this multifaceted effort, you’ll guide a hybrid team of designers and engineers, helping them deliver against a roadmap set on the client side. Intake, refinement, and expectation-setting across that boundary make up a large part of the work. You carry day-to-day execution yourself, with a DNA.inc Senior Program Manager owning the wider client relationship and serving as your escalation partner.

Among other things, we will look to you to:

  • Start each day with a clear read on delivery: sprint health, blockers, milestone progress, and where your teams and their progress stand relative to each other
  • Facilitate the full agile cadence (standups, planning, refinement, retros, demos) and ensure backlog readiness by chasing client product managers for decisions the team needs
  • Sequence design work ahead of build, track feature parity across Android and iOS, and surface it early when one platform pulls away from the other
  • Maintain and actively work a RAID log, tracking dependencies and holding owners to dates
  • Own release planning and readiness across both app stores, including review cycles, staged rollouts, and rollback preparedness
  • Produce app-level status reporting that's accurate and honest about trade-offs, and give your Senior Program Manager the metrics and narrative they need for leadership reporting
  • Occasionally be available during US business hours for client-facing topics
  • Bring escalations to your Senior Program Manager with the problem already framed and options laid out

About you

To be considered a candidate for this role, we expect you to have:

  • 3+ years of demonstrable, commercial experience in technical project or delivery management, working directly with software engineering teams
  • Experience delivering native mobile applications, including release mechanics: store submission, staged rollouts, versioning
  • A track record coordinating design and engineering in one cadence, sequencing design ahead of build
  • Hands-on Agile delivery experience (Scrum, Kanban) and comfort running ceremonies as Scrum Master
  • Comfort working across an organizational boundary, where the people setting priorities and the people doing the work report to different companies
  • Credibility with senior craft leads, coordinating people who know their platform better than you do, without formal authority over them
  • Solid technical literacy: mobile architecture, APIs, CI/CD, build pipelines, and the judgment to know when an estimate doesn't add up
  • Strong hands-on skills in delivery tooling (Jira, Linear, Confluence or equivalent), including building your own reporting when the tooling falls short
  • Fluent, concise written and spoken communication in English, as much of your influence travels through updates you don't get to present in person

It would be awesome if you can also bring:

  • Prior consulting or agency experience delivering on long-running client programs
  • Experience on an app with a significant install base, where a bad release has visible consequences
  • Familiarity with mobile release tooling and analytics: Firebase, Crashlytics, App Store Connect, Play Console
  • Exposure to release governance, on-call rotations, or incident response
  • Scrum certification (useful, not required; we care more about what you've delivered)
  • Our working language is English, additional language skills are welcome
