As a Project Engineer (m/f/d), you will take ownership of end-to-end production planning within our Data Factory and play a key role in establishing efficient planning processes, standards, and tools. Working closely with Requirement Engineering and Production, you will ensure transparency, predictability, and operational excellence across our data production landscape.
You will be part of our Global IM Data Service Area, collaborating closely with our Production Planner and Requirement Engineers supporting our TecDoc and TecRMI systems. This role offers the opportunity to shape and continuously improve centralized production planning in an international and data-driven environment. This is a full-time position with a workload of 40 hours per week.
Your Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end responsibility for production planning within our Data Factory, including centralized planning and forecasting activities.
- Act as the key interface between Requirement Engineering and Production to ensure efficient planning and execution of the production program.
- Plan, manage, and optimize production capacity pools while monitoring progress, priorities, and delivery performance.
- Collect, analyze, and refine requirements to ensure they are clearly defined and ready for production execution.
- Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new production planning tool.
- Define production planning methodologies, establish documentation standards, and implement KPI-based planning and reporting.
- Ensure transparency regarding resource utilization, production status, and delivery commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all involved cross-functional teams and processes.
- Contribute to the development of a scalable and sustainable production planning framework.
Your Qualifications
- Completed vocational training or a degree in a commercial, technical, or comparable field.
- +3 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably within a data, IT, or technology-driven environment.
- Proven experience in planning, coordination, and controlling activities.
- Strong project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional demeanor.
- Production Management Certification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are helpful.

Benefits
The role is permanent, starting with a 1-year contract and a 1-month probation , continuing indefinitely after a successful performance review .

Compensation package: 97% fixed base salary paid monthly, with a 3% performance-based bonus paid annually, dependent on company performance.
For those working hybrid or remote we offer a compensation of 2,45€ per home-office-day.
Travel expenditure reimbursement for those working in hybrid mode: you get € 0,25 per KM of your commuting.

Location-independency / flexibility:
Hybrid Remote: we work primarily hybrid with office attendance, but you can also work remotely from anywhere within the country, when living further from the office location; however we have regular on-site team events and you can work at our site in Heerlen.
Structured Onboarding: you receive an individual onboarding plan, have multiple onboarding days in the beginning, and a wealth of e-learning, training, and documentation besides your team at your disposal.
Set-up: notebook, headset and mouse will be provided, other equipment upon request/need.
Vacation: 30 days a year.
