Your Role
We are hiring an Interim Billing and Collections Specialist for 6 to 12 months to strengthen our Billing and Collections team during a transition period. You will take over high-volume daily tasks so the team can focus on key accounts, month-end close, and process improvement. You will work within our established processes, take direction from the team, and be productive within your first few days.
Your Impact
- Handle the billing inbox and Zendesk tickets: routine customer queries, failed invoices, invoice copy and statement requests, turning short instructions from the team into clear, customer-ready replies
- Follow up on overdue balances for smaller customers in Germany and Brazil: reminders, statements, payment confirmations
- Apply incoming customer payments to open items in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Validate customer master data between our billing platform and Business Central: check and flag mismatches in billing details, VAT IDs and payment terms for the team to approve
- Prepare the monthly AR ageing report for the team's review
- Support month-end close: complete the master data checks and make sure no customer query is left unanswered
- After the first two or three months, the scope may grow to small-account ageing review, PSP reconciliation preparation and preparation of manual invoices.
What we expect
- 3+ years experience in accounts receivable, billing or collections, including customer payment queries and cash application
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Experience with a ticketing tool such as Zendesk
- Excellent written English: clear, friendly and accurate customer communication
- Strong attention to detail and discipline in following defined processes
- Ability to get up to speed within days with light onboarding
