Introduction
As Senior SAP Security & Authorizations Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of SAP security across Straumann Group's global technology landscape. Working within our Global Identity & Access Services team, you'll contribute to our S/4HANA transformation by designing and evolving secure, scalable authorization concepts that support business growth while meeting security and compliance requirements.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll partner with business stakeholders, SAP specialists, audit and compliance teams, external service providers, and IAM experts around the world. Beyond maintaining a secure SAP environment, you'll help modernize and automate identity and access management processes, improving efficiency, transparency, and governance across our global SAP ecosystem. Your Role In this position, you will:
- Help design and implement the SAP authorization concept for the S/4HANA transformation.
- Develop and maintain SAP security, authorization, and governance standards.
- Design and manage Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls and support ongoing risk management.
- Collaborate with audit, risk, compliance, and business teams to ensure regulatory and governance requirements are met.
- Lead SAP user access management, role provisioning, access reviews, and authorization support.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate SAP access management processes.
- Drive integrations between SAP platforms, Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), and IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions.
- Lead end-to-end service delivery, working closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure high-quality support.
- Coordinate SAP security activities for projects, including S/4HANA initiatives and M&A integrations.
- Share expertise through stakeholder guidance, documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Stay current with SAP security trends, governance practices, and regulatory developments to continuously strengthen our security posture.
Your Profile Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in SAP Security with strong expertise in SAP authorizations, role design, and user access management.
- Experience delivering SAP security services in a complex enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), including Segregation of Duties concepts.
- Experience managing external service providers and collaborating across global teams.
- Experience supporting SAP transformation or implementation projects.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to balance business requirements with security, compliance, and operational needs.
Nice to have* Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- SAP Security or GRC certifications (such as C_AUDSEC_73, C_GRCAC_12, or C_SECAUTH_20).
- Professional security certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integrations.
- Familiarity with SIAM platforms, including SIVIS.
- Experience developing training or awareness programmes related to SAP security.
