Senior D365 Finance Functional Consultant

We're looking for a Senior D365 Finance Functional Consultant to join our team in Portugal in a fully remote working mode. In this role, you will lead the functional architecture and end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management for a high-impact transformation program. This includes solution design, configuration, integrations, data migration, and post-go-live support. You will engage directly with business stakeholders to align financial processes with D365 standard capabilities, ensuring compliance, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops and document business requirements for D365 Finance
• Perform fit-gap analysis and map requirements to standard product features
• Create functional design documents (FDDs), process flow diagrams, and ensure solution traceability
• Configure core financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
• Design solutions for multi-company, multi-currency, and multi-GAAP scenarios
• Develop and execute data migration strategies using the Data Management Framework (DMF)
• Oversee SIT, UAT, and cutover plans, ensuring compliance with security and internal controls
• Provide hypercare and continuous improvement post-implementation
• Advocate for best practices in D365 security roles, SoD rules, and internal control frameworks
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience implementing ERP financial modules, including at least 2 full lifecycle D365 Finance projects
• Strong understanding of IFRS/US GAAP, financial consolidation, budgeting, tax compliance, and process design across P2P and O2C
• Deep expertise in D365 F&O modules: General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Asset Leasing, AP, AR, Cost Management, Budgeting, and Tax
• Proficiency with D365 Data Management Framework for data migration tasks
• Familiarity with security configuration, SoD rules, and localization requirements
• Microsoft Certification: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310) is required
• Ability to communicate across business and technical teams in a global environment

Nice to have

• Experience leading financial operations in multi-country rollouts, preferably in regulated environments
• Exposure to integrations between D365 and third-party systems
• Familiarity with Power Platform for reporting and extensions
• Hands-on experience contributing to solution governance and ARB reviews
