Job Title
Senior Data Scientist - Advertising division As part of Amadeus Hospitality, the main objective of the Advertising division is to drive demand and boost client market shares by advertising their products in all the possible mediums and channels (web searches, web, social, GDS, mobile). Our customers are hotels who aim to attract more guests, cities or regions who want to attract more visitors as well as airlines who strive to attract more travelers.
Over the years, Amadeus has built a leading data-driven travel advertising platform complemented by strategic partnerships with advertising giants (Google, Facebook, Microsoft, … to name a few), that can reach billions of travelers globally every day. As our business continues to grow rapidly, we are looking for curious, driven, and innovative individuals who want to solve complex problems and help shape the future of travel advertising.
Every day, our machine learning systems optimize campaign delivery, budget allocation, audience targeting, and real-time bidding decisions, helping advertisers maximize return on investment while reaching the right travelers at the right moment. Unlike many media agencies which rely solely on third party platforms to run advertising campaigns, Amadeus has created its own proprietary advertising technology stack. This enables us to tackle unique use cases, leverage proprietary travel data, and deliver highly targeted campaigns at global scale.
Built on a modern microservices architecture , the platform leverages technologies like Golang, Scala, Python, GraphQL, Apache Airflow, Redis, PostgreSQL . It reaches 300k transactions per second , relying on a petabyte-scale Google BigQuery data warehouse, an innovative AI running up to 500k predictions per second and is hosted on GCP (Google Cloud Platform) in 4 different regions across the world. Our machine learning models are developed using Python, TensorFlow, Keras, LightGBM, and additional frameworks .
Summary of the role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will join the Bidder & Platform Optimization team, which owns the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning solutions powering our advertising platform. From problem definition and experimentation to production deployment and monitoring, you will take ownership of machine learning solutions that directly influence how millions of advertising decisions are made every day and how client budgets are invested across global travel advertising campaigns.
Focused on automation and optimization, you will work closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to transform business challenges into scalable machine learning solutions integrated across our advertising platform, including our real-time bidding systems, campaign management tools, and data platform.
You will contribute from the early stages of ideation and research, helping shape product direction, identify opportunities for innovation, and propose robust technical solutions to complex business problems. You will also have significant influence on the technical direction of our optimization and machine learning roadmap.
You will operate in an environment that combines large-scale data, real-time decision making, and rapid experimentation, allowing you to see the direct impact of your work on product performance and customer outcomes.
