Senior Cloud & Backend Engineer

At Framna, we’re looking for a Senior Cloud & Backend Engineer who knows their way around .NET and Azure, and who likes thinking beyond the code itself. Someone who can zoom in on a tricky backend problem, zoom out to consider the architecture and infrastructure around it, and build solutions made to last.

As our next Senior Cloud & Backend Engineer you’ll join our team in Östersund, working alongside developers, designers, QA engineers, analysts, and product leads to take ideas from first sketch to live product.

You’ll also become part of Framna’s wider engineering and cloud community across our studios — sharing knowledge, discussing architecture, trying new approaches, and figuring out better ways to build together.

And while we collaborate across locations, Östersund is where you’ll call home. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around their colleagues and wants the office to be a natural part of their working week.

What you’ll do

This is a senior role for someone who enjoys owning the bigger technical picture. You’ll work across backend development, cloud infrastructure, architecture, and operations, with a particular focus on .NET and Microsoft Azure.

More specifically, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions primarily using .NET and Azure.
• Build and operate cloud infrastructure and applications with reliability, scalability, and performance in mind.
• Make architectural and technical decisions that help our products stay maintainable as they grow.
• Work with security, databases, networking, and cloud services to create stable and robust systems.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and partners to turn both technical and business needs into great solutions.
• Share your experience with the people around you, whether that means mentoring another developer, leading a technical discussion, or simply helping the team solve a particularly stubborn problem.

Who you are

We imagine you’ve spent around 6–7 years or more working professionally with backend and cloud development, and that .NET and Azure have been a significant part of that journey.

But years alone don’t make someone senior. We’re looking for someone who has developed the judgement that comes with experience — knowing when to dig deeper, when to keep things simple, and how the decisions you make today will affect a product two years from now.

You might recognise yourself if you:

• Have strong professional experience with C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure.
• Have worked with cloud architecture and understand the infrastructure surrounding the applications you build.
• Are comfortable thinking about the full lifecycle of a system, from development and deployment to monitoring and operations.
• Take pride in quality and don’t like solving today’s problem by creating tomorrow’s.
• Enjoy technical variety and are happy learning new tools or technologies when the problem calls for it.
• Like collaborating and sharing knowledge rather than disappearing into your own corner with a ticket.
• Feel comfortable taking technical ownership and helping less experienced developers grow.
• Enjoy working from the office and being part of the everyday life of a team.
