Design & Develop what interacting with neurotechnology should feel like.
Mind Media develops professional NeXus neurotechnology systems, physiological sensors and BioTrace+ software used around the world in qEEG, biofeedback, neurofeedback, rehabilitation, research, training and human performance.
We are looking for a driven Product Experience Designer / Developer who wants to help shape the next generation of BioTrace software and our wider digital customer experience.
This is not a role for someone who only wants to produce screens in Figma. We are looking for someone who likes to understand complex products, simplify professional workflows, prototype ideas quickly and work closely with software developers until an experience really works.What you will work on
- Evolving the UI and UX of BioTrace.
- Designing workflows for setup, measurement, training, protocols and applications.
- Making complex physiological and neurological information understandable.
- Creating dashboards, visualisations and interactive feedback experiences.
- Improving onboarding, configuration and in-product guidance.
- Developing a scalable design system and reusable interaction patterns.
- Rapidly prototyping new concepts, increasingly with AI-assisted design and development tools.
- Working directly with software developers and R&D to move ideas from concept into product.
- Improving digital customer touchpoints beyond the application itself.
- Exploring new forms of real-time biofeedback and neurofeedback experiences.
Design meets development!
You do not have to be a full-stack developer, but we strongly value candidates who can move beyond static design. Experience with front-end development, interactive prototyping, component systems or creative and agentic development and coding is a major advantage.
We are particularly interested in people who are comfortable with modern AI-supported product development: using AI for exploration, prototyping, interface generation, user-flow analysis and faster iteration while maintaining strong product judgement and design quality.
Game design & interactive technology
With the right background, the role can go further. Physiological signals such as EEG, heart rate, breathing, muscle tension and skin conductance can drive real-time visual, audio or interactive feedback.If you have experience or strong affinity with game design, Unity, Unreal, motion, 3D, creative technology or interactive media, you may help us create completely new feedback experiences for BioTrace.
Who could fit this role? You might currently work as a:
- Product Designer;
- UX/UI Designer;
- UX Engineer;
- Interaction Designer;
- UI / Front-end Developer with strong product-design skills;
- Creative Technologist;
- Digital Product Designer;
- Game or interactive-media designer interested in health technology.
Education & experience
A relevant HBO/WO education can include Communication & Multimedia Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, UX/Product Design, ICT, Software Engineering, Creative Technology, Game Design & Development, Human-Computer Interaction or a comparable field.
We care more about the quality of your portfolio, product thinking and ability to build than about one specific degree. Ideally, you bring:
- experience designing digital products or complex professional software;
- strong UX, UI and interaction-design fundamentals;
- experience working closely with developers;
- a portfolio showing complete user flows and product decisions, not just visual screens;
- the ability to simplify complex information and workflows;
- experience with Figma or comparable modern design tooling;
- good English communication;
- curiosity about neuroscience, health technology or human performance.
Strong advantages include front-end development, design systems, data visualisation, AI-assisted prototyping, motion, 3D, game design or interactive media.
Why Mind Media?
You will not be optimising another checkout flow or generic SaaS dashboard. You will help determine how professionals interact with technology connected to the human nervous system. Mind Media is a compact international technology company. That means you work close to the product, developers, R&D and users — and good ideas can become real product features quickly. You can build experience across product design · software · neuroscience · biosignals · AI · data visualization · interactive technology while having visible influence on the evolution of BioTrace and digital interactive channels of Mind Media.
What makes this role different ?
We are looking for someone who can combine strong product and UX thinking with enough technical ability to build, test and iterate quickly.You may work with front-end technologies, rapid prototyping tools, AI coding assistants, agentic workflows, multiplatform UI patterns, creative coding or game engines — depending on the problem. For BioTrace, this can mean designing and building interfaces that work across professional workflows, data-rich dashboards and real-time physiological feedback. For future applications it may also mean experimenting with gamification, interactive media and feedback experiences driven by signals such as EEG, HRV, respiration or EMG. The ideal candidate actively follows how AI is changing product design and software development and wants to work at that boundary rather than in a traditional hand-off model between designer and developer.
