We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Offshore Commissioning Technician to join our global team. This role is central to the successful installation and commissioning of offshore wind turbine projects worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for all commissioning activities to the final energization of the turbines, ensuring all work is performed in strict adherence to safety protocols, project requirements, and industry standards. Key responsibilities include the hands-on installation, termination, testing, and commissioning of turbines . This position requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities. The ideal candidate is a certified electrician, preferably with experience in WTG , though a strong electrical background is paramount. This role demands a high level of physical and mental resilience to work effectively at height and in challenging offshore weather conditions. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to training and mentoring junior colleagues are essential for success within our dynamic and international team.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 60% HV Installation & Commissioning
- Perform High Voltage (HV) cable installation, terminations, and testing across various project phases including preassembly, installation, and commissioning.
- Commission and test associated HV equipment to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct the final energization of wind turbines in line with established procedures and safety protocols.
- Consistently deliver a high-quality product that meets customer and company standards.
- 20% Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Implement, instruct, and ensure adherence to safety cultures, behaviors, and safe systems of work.
- Execute HV switching procedures according to company policy after completing required training and evaluation.
- Keep and maintain accurate, detailed records and documentation of all work activities undertaken.
- 20% Team Collaboration & Development
- Train, mentor, and share technical knowledge with trainees and colleagues to foster skill development within the team.
- Communicate effectively with various organizational levels and diverse cultural teams.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate initiative when working independently.
