ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Game Marketing Mentor to join our Developer Success team. This person will work with our Program Director to take over Marketing related topics as part of our incubation and acceleration programs globally.
As a mentor, you will be responsible for organizing and managing weekly meetings with the participating teams, monitoring and tracking their progress, curating course materials based on existing education materials, and occasionally traveling to in-person events related to the various global programs.
You will be one of the main contacts for incubated/accelerated teams. You will support the teams in their journey, guide them through our educational materials, evaluate their progress, and identify any additional support they may require. When requested by any partners, you will also be responsible for creating detailed reporting and evaluation of the teams’ progress through the program.
As part of your work with the teams, you will also be responsible for communication and management of external experts based on the needs of any given cohort. You will be the main communication point for your external experts and support the processing of all necessary legal and financial documentation and processes within Xsolla.
As a Games Marketing mentor, the ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in video games industry marketing, community management, influencer marketing, and social media management in the indie to AA sphere.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mentor incubated/accelerated teams.
- Provide expertise and specific insights to the external incubated/accelerated teams as well as internally as needed.
- Take detailed notes and create reports on team progress.
- Identify and solve problems or needs of the teams.
- Review educational materials and update Program Director on any recommended changes or additions.
- Keep in mind specific needs of partners for some of the programs and adapt mentoring techniques accordingly.
- Work autonomously to manage own calendar, schedule, and update relevant Jira tickets and documentation.
- Outreach and management of external experts as required by the program.
- Attend in-person events when necessary/relevant.
REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the video games industry as a Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, or similar.
- Proven track record of working on launched game projects.
- Deep understanding of game business cycle, in particular community building and marketing.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Enjoys working closely with founders and teams.
- Ability to learn, understand, and adapt quickly to new changes.
- Proactive and autonomous working style.
Preferred:
- Multilingual; fluency in Arabic is a plus.
- Experience organizing digital and in-person events.
- Indie and/or AA marketing experience.
- Timezone location: GMT-0 to GMT+8.
- Experience running or participating in accelerator/incubator programs (Y Combinator, Techstars, or gaming-specific accelerators).
- Experience with Jira, Salesforce, or project management tools.
- Network within the indie game development community.
