A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Design Engineer, you will provide your engineering expertise for the repair and reverse engineering of non-original equipment manufacturer (oOEM) Dry Gas Seals. You will support both immediate repair activities and longer-term R&D initiatives through hands-on technical investigation, detailed design, and independent project execution.How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform on-site inspections, technical investigations, and failure analyses of oOEM Dry Gas Seals to support repair activities
- Reverse engineer sealing components and produce accurate 3D models, technical specifications, and manufacturing drawings
- Diagnose component failures and propose design modifications that improve reliability, performance, and manufacturability
- Create and manage complex 3D models, assembly drawings, and shop drawings using CAD software such as NX
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality teams, suppliers and subcontractors to optimize designs for fabrication, machining, and assembly
- Support R&D and product lifecycle activities by providing technical documentation, design validation data, and independently managed project schedules
- Support engineering team during project execution
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a Design Engineer, focused on mechanical design, reverse engineering, or product development
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering, engineering design processes, product design, 3D modeling, and engineering drawings
- Proficiency with NX especially in model parametrization
- Experience with rotating equipment, turbomachinery, or industrial seals is highly desirable About the Team Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector.
