Join us as a Principal Infrastructure Automation & AIOps, where you will transform high-value automation and AI opportunities into secure, supportable, and measurable infrastructure capabilities. Based in beautiful Amadora (Lisbon), Portugal, you will provide the technical leadership and product thinking necessary to evolve fragmented ideas into reusable production solutions. As a senior individual contributor, you will lead through your expertise, structured recommendations, and hands-on contributions, mobilizing virtual teams across various infrastructure domains. Your work will balance innovation with accountability, ensuring measurable service outcomes that drive adoption and reuse.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Translate Infrastructure & Hub Services priorities into a practical multi-year capability strategy and product roadmap for infrastructure automation and AIOps.
- Maintain a transparent view of demand across infrastructure domains, providing clear prioritization recommendations based on service impact and operational pain.
- Define product vision and measurable outcomes for cross-domain automation and AIOps capabilities, contributing directly to critical designs and production-readiness reviews.
- Create and promote reusable engineering practices, including APIs, integration patterns, and reference implementations across various platforms.
- Facilitate decisions and resolve technical dependencies with global service owners and partners, ensuring alignment across all teams involved.
What You Bring
- Typically 10+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, SRE, platform engineering, or related fields.
- Proven success as a principal architect or lead product technologist in a global enterprise setting.
- Experience in taking automation or AI-enabled solutions from concept to multi-service production use, including evaluation and support readiness.
- Deep knowledge of ITSM, observability, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Strong ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex technical choices clearly to executive audiences.
About the Team
You will be part of Digital Core Infrastructure and work across global infrastructure domains and operations. The role operates through a federated model: existing engineering teams and partners provide delivery capacity, global service owners provide domain priorities and service accountability, and the Operations Control Center provides operational process ownership and orchestration. Your role is to connect these groups through technically credible products, standards, evidence, and decisions.
