Data Architect/ Solution Architect

As a Arhitect, you will be designing new key data and analytical services for the Uptime Services department as well as leading the technical implementation. The team will consist of data, DevOps, and software engineers, information and business analysts, as well as a functional application manager, who work collaboratively to create both domain-specific solutions and generic features for the wider data community. The current skills and tools used within the team include: Airflow, Glue, Lambda, S3, Cloudwatch, Terraform, PySpark, Iceberg, GitHub Actions, and Snowflake.

Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business and technical requirements.
- Design end-to-end (data) solutions, focusing on modular, maintainable, and scalable architectures.
- Develop architectural diagrams (e.g., logical/physical architecture) using visualization tools.
- Create technical documentation for the development team, including high-level and low-level design documents.
- Ensure software/data pipelines adhere to SOLID principles and object-oriented design patterns while meeting business needs.
- Guide and mentor developers on implementation best practices.
- Review and approve designs and code.
- Update the architecture in the DAF architectural system.
Key Requirements:
- Highly analytical with the ability to investigate business questions and translate them into optimal system solutions.
- Prior experience as a solution architect or tech lead with architectural experience.
- Broad knowledge of cloud services and design patterns, preferably on AWS.
- Experience in the creation of technical designs.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles for modular, scalable, and maintainable products.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a (project) team context.
- Good communication skills, result-oriented, and familiarity with the IT development process.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the automotive or After Sales organization.
