Role Overview:
The Auditor - Data, Analytics AI provides independent, objective assurance and advisory activities designed to add value and improve Allianz Services operations through risk-based auditing, advanced data analytics, automation, and responsible AI-enabled audit practices.
The role supports the organization in achieving its objectives by applying a systematic, disciplined, and data-driven approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, governance processes, and technology-enabled business operations.
The Auditor supports audit assignments from planning to reporting and follow-up, while also designing and performing the data and AI basis for audits. The role ensures that audits embed data analytics, automation, and AI capabilities from preparation and risk assessment through fieldwork, reporting, issue validation, and remediation follow-up. The role is suitable for candidates with audit experience and strong analytical capability who can apply audit methodology with guidance and increasingly perform tasks independently.
What you do:
- Support risk-based audit planning by defining scope, identifying key risks, and determining relevant data sources, analytics opportunities, and AI use cases.
- Execute audit procedures in line with Global Audit methodology, IIA Standards, internal policies, and applicable data, technology, and AI governance expectations.
- Design reusable analytics assets, AI-enabled audit practices, and ensure continuous improvement within the audit team.
- Design and perform data-driven testing, including data quality checks, full-population analysis, exception testing, anomaly detection, and root-cause analysis.
- Use analytics, automation, dashboards, and AI-enabled techniques across audit preparation, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.
- Assess business processes, systems, data flows, automated controls, models, and internal controls for design and operating effectiveness.
- Document audit work clearly, prepare findings and recommendations, and communicate audit results and data insights to stakeholders.
- Validate remediation progress using data, analytics, and evidence-based follow-up, supporting the assessment of sustainability and effectiveness.
What you bring:
- Good understanding of audit methodology, internal controls, risk management, governance, and technology-enabled control environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in data extraction, preparation, visualization, exception analysis, and problem-solving.
- Practical knowledge of analytics or automation tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, ACL, IDEA, Excel, or comparable solutions.
- Strong interest in AI-enabled audit techniques, generative AI, machine learning concepts, automation, model risk, and responsible AI controls.
- Ability to translate audit objectives into data requirements, analytics procedures, AI-supported workflows, and clear audit evidence.
- Clear communication skills to explain audit results, data insights, limitations, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Curiosity, integrity, sound judgement, team spirit, and commitment to continuous learning in audit, data, analytics, and AI.
Qualifications Experience:
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, internal controls, IT audit, information security, IT compliance, data analytics, automation, AI governance, or a related business or technology area.
- Experience using data analytics, visualization, automation, or AI-enabled tools to support audit testing, risk assessment, control evaluation, or business analysis is strongly preferred.
- Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, CPA, CISM, CRISC, CDP, data analytics certification, AI governance certification, or equivalent is desirable.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
