- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience, with demonstrable experience in one or more Logistics & Distribution domains (for example warehouse management, warehouse automation, order management, decision intelligence, network design)
- A master’s degree (WO);
- A genuine passion for innovation and a creative drive to solve complex logistics puzzles;
- Proven experience delivering workstreams within complex logistics projects;
- Strong functional knowledge of Logistics & Distribution (for example warehousing operations, order fulfilment, inventory management and network design) and a good awareness of solution architecture principles;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire clients during workshops and build strong, collaborative partnerships;
- An excellent command of English; Dutch is a distinct advantage;
- You currently reside in the Netherlands (or are willing to relocate), hold the right to work here, and have the ability and willingness to travel when required;
- Experience in the defence industry or hands on experience with warehouse automation technologies is a strong plus.
What impact will you make?
You have a passion for Logistics & Distribution and the ambition to design and implement pragmatic, end‑to‑end capabilities. Using advanced platforms, analytics and automation you help clients optimise warehousing, order fulfilment, inventory and network design to better serve customers. As a (Senior) Consultant Logistics & Distribution you work in multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, measurable improvements for internationally operating organisations.
How do you do this?
- Design and deliver Logistics & Distribution solutions across distribution network optimization, warehouse management, warehouse automation, transport management, order management, and decision intelligence for national and international clients;
- Develop and deploy tailored strategies for warehouse optimisation and automation and guide clients through changes of warehouse systems, layouts, processes or deployment of automation, ensuring a seamless operational transition;
- Evaluate ROI, select vendors, design and lead implementation of new logistics automation or software, working together with leading technologies like Manhattan Associates, Aera Technologies, SAP and Oracle;
- Define and translate business requirements into processes, system and solutions (e.g. WMS, TMS, order management, decision intelligence, network design tools) to meet client needs;
- Conduct assessments of a client's supply chain network and identify alternative configurations or optimizations to reduce costs and/or enhance resilience;
- Stay at the top of your game by continuously developing your expertise and insights in emerging technologies, methodologies and AI-driven delivery through on‑the‑job learning, creation of thought leadership, formal training and coaching;
- Guide clients towards future solutions using workshops and design sessions to translate operational challenges into strategic recommendations, facilitate collaboration, manage stakeholders effectively and present findings clearly to senior executives;
- Work in a flexible and hybrid environment, combining (inter)national travel for top client engagement with true global virtual collaboration.
