We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Designer to join our engineering team. If you possess hands-on proficiency in Cadmatic (Outfitting), excel at converting conceptual routing into robust 3D models, and are fully efficient in generating flawless isometric drawings – this opportunity is tailored for you.

The engineering office in Gdańsk was established in 2022 and is developing dynamically. The Polish branch of Archer is located in the Olivia Business Centre in Gdańsk Przymorze.

The Piping Designer is designated to deliver work as the Piping Engineer / Discipline delegated.
Key responsibilities
- To 3D Modeling: Develop and optimize comprehensive 3D models of marine piping systems
- Production Documentation: Extract, verify, and deliver detailed isometric drawings (ISO) and piping arrangement plans ready for shipyard fabrication.
- System Routing: Route complex piping systems ensuring compliance with Classification Society rules, spatial constraints, and ergonomic accessibility.
- Component Integration: Select and integrate appropriate valves, fittings, and instrumentation based on P&ID diagrams and Project Piping Classes.
- Clash Detection: Coordinate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams (structural, electrical, HVAC) to perform clash checks and resolve space management issues within the 3D environment.

Education
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor Degree or Technical College with long relevant experience.
Professional Qualifications: Fluent English written and oral skills.
Experience and key knowledge
- Minimum of five years of proven experience as a Piping Designer in the Marine or Offshore sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in Cadmatic or/and AVEVA software (essential requirement).
- Excellent capability in reading, interpreting, and producing technical layouts, specifically isometric drawings (ISOs) and P&IDs.
- Strong understanding of piping routing principles, standard support selections, and marine outfitting standards.
- Familiarity with the rules and regulations of major Classification Societies (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR) and standard marine practices.
- Good command of English (written and spoken), sufficient for seamless work with technical documentation and international project teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, precision, and the ability to work independently.
- Material handling of equipment and piping relevant for maritime industry

- Familiarity with alternative 3D design software used in ship design
- Experience working with 3D laser scan data (point clouds) for retrofit projects
