A bit about us
We develop business through IT, together.
Mjølner is an IT House specializing in software, digitalization, and end-to-end solutions. We love technology, but we put business first. Across our offices in Denmark and Spain, we're a collective of 400 specialists.
When the task is challenging and the solution isn't obvious, we're the right people to call. That's been true since nine computer scientists from Aarhus University founded Mjølner in 1988. Ever since, we've been turning our customers' complex challenges into concrete, high-quality IT solutions.
Like the hammer we're named after, we hit the mark and come back stronger. We believe in offering more than a workplace: a "work home," shaped by community, strong professional dialogue and a culture people genuinely want to be part of. We enjoy our work, but we also value our time off and understand the importance of balance.
That culture is also why we're excited about what's ahead: we're currently in the process of being acquired by Accenture. For now, it has no concrete impact on day-to-day life at the company you'll still find the same team, the same culture, and the same way of working.
Since opening our Madrid office three years ago, we've been on an exciting growth journey and now it's time to welcome a new Senior Developer to our team. We're rooted in Scandinavian values: low hierarchy, high trust, clear communication, and genuine work-life balance.
Your Daily Mjølner Life
As a Senior Developer at Mjølner Informatics in Madrid, you'll join a range of projects for Danish and international clients, working alongside our Danish and Spanish teams' developers, consultants and project managers.
Projects vary widely in scope, duration, industry and technology, though .NET is currently at the core of most of our software work.
Freedom with responsibility, respect for family and free time, are central to how we work which is why you'll manage your own day-to-day.
We also believe in looking out for each other and investing in our professional community. That's why you'll have the chance to join our professional guilds (Frontend, Backend and Architecture, IT Security, among others), where you can deepen your current expertise or branch into new areas.
What you bring
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a .NET developer, with solid expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Experience with backend architecture and design patterns, including experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) and experience with data modelling and query optimization
- Experience with Microservices architecture, containerization, and cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes and/or CI/CD pipelines is an advantage
- High proficiency in English both written and verbal
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies, with the ability to effectively leverage them in day-to-day work to enhance productivity, problem-solving and overall efficiency
A curious, solution-oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in continuous learning and technical growth is also highly appreciated.
What we offer
You'll have plenty of opportunities to share knowledge, attend tech meetups, and collaborate across teams, supporting both your own growth and the company's ambitions. We value innovative thinking and want you to feel like a genuine contributor to our projects, not just a team member but someone helping shape where we're headed.
To help you thrive, we'll make sure you visit us in Denmark both when you join and on an ongoing basis to meet your Danish colleagues and experience our culture firsthand. Onsite customer meetings may also come up from time to time.
The rest of the time, you'll be based at our office in Calle Goya (Madrid), right in the city centre.
What you get
- A competitive base salary, reflecting what you bring to the table
- A strong support network within our developer team and backend Guild
- A hybrid setup of minimum 2 days in the office (Goya 8, Madrid)

- A real work-life balance, we mean it, there's no overtime culture
- Private medical insurance and a yearly bonus
