Salsify Expert for Shopify project - Consulting services

Hi, I’m looking for someone with strong, hands-on Salsify experience for a short consulting engagement.

We’re currently working on a Salsify → Shopify integration, and I’m looking for someone who can help us understand and work through the actual implementation rather than provide a high-level overview.

The main areas I’d like to cover are:

- Data Explorer & Product Data: How to navigate product data in Salsify, understand how it’s structured, and identify differences in products, attributes, and values across different regions or markets.

- Channels, especially Shopify: How Shopify channels work in Salsify, how they’re configured, and how product data is mapped and published from Salsify to Shopify.

- Mappings & Calculated Fields: How Salsify fields are mapped to Shopify fields, how existing mappings can be reviewed or changed, and how calculated fields, formulas, and transformations are used when data needs to be modified before being sent to Shopify.

- Shopify Fields & Metafields: How to map Salsify data to standard Shopify fields and metafields, including handling situations where Shopify requires a different data structure or transformation.

- Custom API Integration: We may have requirements that cannot be handled through the standard Salsify Shopify channel. In those cases, we need someone who is comfortable working with Salsify APIs and Shopify APIs to build a custom integration — retrieving data from Salsify, applying any required transformation/business logic, and pushing the resulting data into Shopify.

- End-to-End Flow & Troubleshooting: I’d like to understand the complete flow:
Salsify Product Data → Channel/API → Mapping & Transformation → Shopify → Validation
This should also include how to troubleshoot publishing failures, mapping issues, incorrect data, API errors, and synchronization problems.

Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can screen-share and walk me through these things practically inside Salsify, rather than only explaining the concepts.

Before we schedule a call, could you let me know:

1. Have you personally configured Salsify Channels, particularly for Shopify?
2. Have you implemented a Salsify → Shopify integration?
3. Have you worked with mappings, calculated fields, transformations, and Shopify metafields?
4. Have you worked directly with Salsify APIs?
5. Are you comfortable building a custom Salsify API → Shopify API integration if the standard connector/channel cannot support a requirement?
6. Would you be comfortable demonstrating some of these areas practically during the session?

If you have hands-on experience across these areas, that’s the kind of expertise I’m looking for.

We can start with a paid consulting session, and if it’s a good fit, there could be additional implementation work as the project progresses.
