Your role

As an SAP BPE Plant Maintenance, you will act as a functional expert and key business partner between the Global and Local business teams and the Global SAP Project Team. You will play a key role in the successful implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Symrise Global SAP Template for Plant Maintenance.

You will support global SAP rollouts across different sites, ensuring that best practices are implemented while accommodating relevant local requirements. As the functional owner for Plant Maintenance processes, you will contribute to the design and optimization of end-to-end processes, translate business requirements into functional solutions, and ensure effective collaboration between business and technical teams.

The role also includes functional management of Local Key Users across implemented sites, providing guidance, training, and second-level support while driving continuous improvement of the SAP PM solution.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the functional expert and owner of the SAP Plant Maintenance template.
• Support global SAP rollouts, working closely with Local Key Users, Regional Key Users, and local managers.
• Ensure the implementation of global best practices while incorporating necessary local legal, regulatory, language, and interface requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional designs and create Functional Specification Documents (FSD).
• Participate in solution architecture, configuration, integration testing, and functional validation.
• Prepare and support ITC and UAT activities, including documentation of test results.
• Train and support Local Key Users throughout implementation and after go-live.
• Support the preparation and validation of master and transactional data for SAP migration.
• Maintain and update process documentation, including BPML and functional specifications.
• Define and monitor relevant KPIs to measure process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide second-level support after go-live and act as the main SAP PM contact for Local Key Users.
• Drive the resolution of SAP issues and known defects in close collaboration with the technical and AMS teams.
• Contribute to cost-benefit analyses and support prioritization and budget planning for new requirements.
• Ensure effective coordination with other functional streams, technical teams, and external providers.
• Drive the continuous maintenance and improvement of the Global SAP Template in line with Symrise requirements.

About you

You are an experienced SAP professional with strong expertise in Plant Maintenance processes and a solid understanding of end-to-end business processes within an industrial environment. You combine strong functional and technical knowledge with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.

You have a strong business mindset and are comfortable leading complex, international projects. You are able to translate business needs into practical SAP solutions, build strong relationships across different functions and cultures, and work independently while taking ownership and driving topics forward.

You bring:

• 5+ years of experience in Plant Maintenance, ideally within an international industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PM and end-to-end process management.
• Experience in SAP process design, development, and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with tools such as SolMan is a plus.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages, particularly French, are a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and business acumen.
• A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% during the global deployment phase.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
