Your Role
Our data team empowers the Körber Group with data-driven insights, modern architectures, and scalable analytics solutions.
As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize data integration and analytics solutions across our BI landscape, ensuring reliable data flows and enabling informed, data-driven decisions.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and models using SAP technologies (SAP Datasphere/Business Data Cloud, SAP Core Data Services) and Databricks
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business SMEs to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance across SAP and integrated systems.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to enhance data architecture and automation.
- Provide technical expertise during platform transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Maintain clear documentation and promote best practices in data engineering.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in (SAP) data engineering, data modeling, or analytics.
- Experience in SAP data analytics technologies (BDC, Datasphere) and/or Databricks
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT design, and integration technologies (APIs, OData, CDS Views).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, and data security.
- Skilled in data modeling (star schema, snowflake, dimensional models).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; fluent in English (German is a plus).
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in an agile, international environment.
