Description
In the position of Receiver RF Silicon Validation engineer you will work on market-leading, cutting-edge cellular transceivers. The broad scope of responsibilities includes the definition of test strategy and test plan creation derived from receiver system specification, characterization, and optimization of key RF parameters, the analysis of functional or performance issues encountered during different verification phases, and the development of scripts for test automation. You will apply innovative approaches - including AI/ML-based methods - to advance measurement and analysis capabilities and to scale our regression environment. Your work style is very collaborative; you manage your deliveries and dependencies self-contained, and your execution enables you to meet your commitments.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's or higher degree (PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Communication/ Embedded Systems, or equivalent, with several years of proven industrial RF silicon-validation experience
Experience in RF transceiver system definition and architecture - able to derive validation strategy, test plans, and pass/fail criteria from system specifications
Hands-on experience applying AI/ML techniques to RF, signal-processing, or lab-automation problems
Ability to collaborate technically with a variety of teams (Design, Firmware, System, etc.)
Team spirit, excellent communication skills, and the desire to accept diverse challenges are essential
Minimum Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of RF fundamentals and RF measurement techniques
Proven experience in characterizing and debugging RF cellular systems and components, including root cause analysis
Knowledge of 3GPP standards with a focus on RF transceiver aspects and receiver RF requirements
Working knowledge of AI/ML, able to apply AI/ML methods to achieve results, with a solid grasp of the fundamentals
Programming skills, leveraging modern AI-coding assistants to generate scripts, debug logic, and optimize code, with languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB
Experience in creating test automation scripts to run in the lab and/or regression environment
English language proficiency is required for this position
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between €80,000 and €142,400 and reflects a full-time equivalent. Your base pay will depend on contractual hours, skills, qualifications, experience, location, and any relevant collective bargaining agreement provisions.
Apple employees are eligible to participate in the Apple Inc. discretionary stock programs.
