Shape the future of Production Engineering through technology adoption and continuous improvement. As Adoption & Implementation Specialist, you bridge the gap between engineers and technology, ensuring digital solutions are not only developed, but truly embraced. By driving adoption, optimizing processes, and translating user needs into actionable improvements, you help maximize the value of our Production Engineering applications across the organization.

THE POSITION

At Van Oord, digital applications play a key role in enabling efficient, standardized and future‑proof ways of working. To ensure our existing applications continue to deliver maximum value, we are looking for an Adoption & Implementation Specialist to strengthen the Production Engineering Application Management team. This role is a key position and is essential in connecting users, stakeholders and development teams.

The Production Engineering Application Management team is supporting the Production Engineering team within the Tendering & Engineering department. This team is responsible for developing, supporting and improving the applications used by the Production Engineers in the Production Engineering landscape. Production Engineers are responsible for estimating and optimizing the exaction duration of our projects, focused on our main assets.

YOUR IMPACT

As an Adoption & Implementation Specialist, you are responsible for the functionality, performance, and day-to-day effectiveness of existing applications within the Production Engineering landscape, ensuring they reliably support business processes, including production estimating and support activities.

Acting as the bridge between Production Engineers and development teams, you translate user and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable input, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and are successfully embedded in daily operations.

You actively drive the adoption of new tools, features, and ways of working, guiding engineers and their leads through change while promoting sustainable use and continuous optimization. In doing so, you strengthen alignment between users, discipline managers, and development teams, ensuring effective collaboration and that feedback is consistently translated into concrete improvements.

  • Drive adoption and change management by guiding users and stakeholders in implementing new tools, features, and ways of working, including onboarding and training
  • Act as the primary interface between the Vopress team and users, translating needs, feedback, and developments in both directions
  • Coordinate testing activities by performing initial validation of sprint deliverables and facilitating user acceptance testing
  • Manage and translate feedback from testing and adoption into prioritized improvements together with development teams
  • Provide functional and strategic input for the continuous development of applications, including defining and documenting requirements where needed
  • Support and optimize business processes by improving and standardizing production workflows in alignment with the Vopress suite
  • Enable knowledge sharing and system effectiveness by supporting knowledge management and contributing to refinements in business logic within existing products

You are eager to deepen your understanding of Production Engineering processes and feel comfortable working in a complex, evolving environment. We are looking for someone who:
