Auction Team Supervisor

The Opportunity

A hands-on supervisory role leading the day-to-day work of our Utrecht Auction Team. Youll combine people management and team development with auction preparation, quality control and operational planning.

What you'll do

• Lead and support Auction Team colleagues day to day, creating a positive, productive and accountable working environment.
• Plan daily and weekly workloads across listing, photography, consignments and wider auction activity.
• Coach and develop team members, provide regular feedback and complete 1-to-1s and appraisals.
• Support attendance, conduct and performance management, escalating more complex matters appropriately.
• Oversee listing, authentication and photography for monthly Whisky, Rum and Wine Auctioneer auctions.
• Carry out quality checks, including pre-auction, live-auction and high-value listing checks.
• Monitor team and individual KPIs, Salesforce queues, Microsoft Teams requests and relevant auction administration.
• Work closely with management, Client Services, Curation and E-Commerce Photography to improve quality, efficiency and the customer experience.What we're looking for
• Previous supervisory, team-lead or people-management experience, with confidence coaching and giving constructive feedback.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems; Salesforce experience is desirable.
• Experience in an auction, operations or warehouse environment is desirable but not essential.
• An interest in whisky, spirits and wine and a professional, reliable approach.What we offer

Working pattern

Our office operates 08:45-17:15, Monday to Saturday. You will work five days within this schedule. Some additional evening or weekend work may occasionally be required to meet auction deadlines or support events.
