Position Overview
Responsible for the design, support, and optimization of CRH International’s SAP Plant Maintenance and Production Planning solutions on the centrally managed SAP templates. Ensuring strong process integrity and alignment with operational and business requirements for Plant Maintenance (PM) Production Planning (PP), and related integrated modules, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and scalability across the enterprise.
Collaborates closely with business stakeholders, the Process Council, and other SAP teams to deliver innovative, reliable solutions aligned with SAP’s product roadmap and CRH’s strategic objectives.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Takes up functional ownership of centrally managed SAP Plant Maintenance and Production Planning solutions, ensuring they remain strategic assets with robust process design, compliance, and operational integrity across maintenance and manufacturing domains.
- Provides functional expertise and innovative approaches to maximize business value from SAP PM and PP solutions, including process optimization, automation, and seamless integration with procurement, inventory, and manufacturing execution functions.
- Acts as the subject matter expert for SAP PM and PP across S/4 upgrades or roll-out projects, acquisitions, divestments, system evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensures high‑quality and timely delivery of SAP PM and PP changes by performing analysis, estimation, configuration, functional design, testing and documentation activities across both project work and operational demand.
- Ensures reliable and efficient SAP PM and PP support services for all business units.
- Holds functional responsibility for integrations between SAP PM/PP and external systems, including interfaces via SAP Middleware or third‑party add‑ons.
- Contributes to cross functional activities like automated testing scripts, data migration, process documentation and Fiori implementation.
- Teams up closely with the functional and technical SAP teams, including Sales and Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and the Development team, to ensure end‑to‑end process integration and data consistency. Key Functional Competencies
You are/have:
- Broad functional and technical knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Production Planning (PP), with experience in S/4HANA considered a strong advantage. PM functionality included in the SAP templates are preventive maintenance, maintenance processing and MRP for spare parts. PP functionality included in the template are mainly in Repetitive manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of end‑to‑end maintenance, asset management, production planning, and manufacturing execution processes, ideally within the building materials, industrial manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
- Ability to enforce governance and process standards across SAP PM and PP landscapes, ensuring consistency, compliance, safety alignment, and operational excellence.
- Strong technical awareness, including familiarity with SAP architecture, critical integration points (e.g., MM, QM,FI/CO), and performance considerations in high‑volume manufacturing and maintenance environments.
- Cooperating in an SAP Competence center following internal processes for Demand and incident resolution. Experience / Education
You are/have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications in SAP PM/PP or related modules are an advantage
- Multiple years of experience in SAP PP/PP Modules, S/4 experience an advantage
- Experience in delivering SAP implementations/upgrades.
- Experience of working internationally with different countries / cultures
- Experience of working in an internal SAP Competence Center is a plus. Key Characteristics
