We are looking for a detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our financial team in Warsaw.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate management of general ledger accountings internal expense management for multiple companies across several countries, including support for tax compliance and reporting. The GL Accountant is key resource for financial closings, reconciliations, participates in statutory reporting, and tax filings and audits, working closely with colleagues and auditors to ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
This role requires a structured and detail-oriented finance professional with experience in GL processes, financial reporting, and tax compliance within an international or shared service environment.
Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid)
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and perform booking of OPEX-related invoices (accounts payable).
- Perform bookings of local general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Execute period-end close activities, including preparing or verifying accruals adjustments, and reconciliations (including investigation of discrepancies) , to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Identify opportunities, provide, and re-assess estimates for selected accounts to even out workload around month-end in the team.
- Participate in preparing and submitting local financial statements and local company tax filings working closely with local country teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage VAT reporting, and other relevant tax obligations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Collect, validate, and submit required financial data to national authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Cooperate with audit teams, providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate the audit process.
We expect:
- Min. 2 years’ experience with focus on accounting and tax from global organization.
- English at professional proficiency, having French language will be a plus..
- Maintain high discipline and structure when working with financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting processes.
- Possess strong attention to detail while maintaining a clear overview of financial transactions and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a growth mindset, quickly learning new processes, systems, and regulatory requirements in a dynamic environment.
