Your new role
In this role, you will play a key part in accelerating upstream supply decarbonisation across strategic raw material categories, ensuring that strategic priorities are translated into concrete initiatives and measurable progress.
Novo Nordisk must achieve net zero GHG emissions by 2045, with our supply chain responsible for 96% of our total GHG emissions. Therefore, it is crucial to work closely with sourcing and procurement functions, category managers and suppliers to identify, devel-op and execute on the right decarbonisation levers.
Your responsibilities within this role will include:
- Lead supplier decarbonisation initiatives across selected raw material categories, from strategy development through implementation.
- Identify, assess, and develop decarbonisation opportunities that reduce green-house gas emissions associated with raw materials.
- Partner with Sourcing & Procurement and business areas to prioritise, develop, and deliver decarbonisation initiatives that create measurable impact.
- Provide sustainability guidance and sparring for stakeholders on supplier decarbonisation opportunities, technologies and implementation pathways
- Manage cross-functional projects across sustainability, sourcing & procurement and business areas to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution
- Represent Novo Nordisk in external sustainability partnerships and industry collaborations, helping advance our decarbonisation ambitions and contribute to broader systems change.
- Track progress, collect data, and communicate initiatives, learnings and results to internal and external stakeholders

You will join Environmental Responsibility, which is part of the business area CEO Office, Corporate Strategy & Sustainability. With around 60 colleagues, Environmental Responsibility brings together a diverse group of specialists, project managers, and consultants who are passionate about driving our environmental ambitions while having fun.

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for someone who combines deep sustainability expertise with the confidence and resilience to drive change in a complex organisation. You'll bring with you:
- A master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability, sourcing and procurement, supplier engagement or environment-related fields, preferably related to supply chain or raw material decarbonisation
- Solid understanding of greenhouse gas accounting and reporting practices, particularly related to Scope 3 emissions, sourcing and raw materials
- Proven project management skills and the ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution
- Fluency in written and spoken English

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate a complex stakeholder landscape, build trusted relationships and influence across all organisational levels
- Ability to think strategically and creatively about new decarbonisation levers, while ensuring practical execution and stakeholder alignment
- A strategic and innovative mindset, combined with a pragmatic approach to turning decarbonisation opportunities into tangible results.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651.000,00 DKK to 956.900,00 DKK corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
**Incentives and Benefits:**The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
