Real Estate Photographer / Videographer (Development Route)
Amsterdam · Freelance / ZZP
You must be based in the Netherlands to apply. This is not an employment position or internship. It is a freelance collaboration for someone working as a ZZP'er, or willing to register as one, and able to invoice Framedworks for their services.
Framedworks creates high-end real estate media for makelaars across Amsterdam, Noord-Holland and 't Gooi. We produce architectural photography, cinematic video, drone, 360° content, LiDAR measurements and floorplans.
Our work is what an agent puts in front of a homeowner when they want to win the listing, so the standard is high and the details matter.
We are looking for photographers early in their careers who want to learn our system and develop into independent Framedworks shooters running their own property shoots for our clients.
Rate and commitment
[PAY: e.g. €X per shoot during the development period, rising as you take on more of the work independently.]
[COMMITMENT: e.g. Roughly X shoots per week, on weekdays, arranged in advance.]
What you'll learn
You will be trained on real properties and real Framedworks workflows, initially alongside us and then increasingly independently.
The goal is not to become an assistant. The goal is to get you to the point where you can arrive at a property, manage the shoot professionally, create the complete required media package and deliver work that meets the Framedworks standard.
You will learn:
· Architectural and interior photography
· Bracketing and blending
· Lens choice and composition
· Correct verticals and perspective
· Working with difficult and mixed light
· Colour consistency across a complete property
· Cinematic property video
· Gimbal technique and camera movement
· Drone photography and video
· 360° capture
· LiDAR measuring
· Floorplan capture and workflow
· File handling, post-production and delivery
· On-site client communication and shoot management
You will also learn the parts photography school often does not teach: how to read a property quickly, work efficiently around homeowners and makelaars, solve problems without unnecessary escalation and deliver consistently on deadline.
There is a documented Framedworks workflow that you will be trained on. This is not "watch and figure it out."
Who this suits
Someone who wants to become an excellent real estate photographer and is prepared to take responsibility for their own work.
You should already be shooting something, whether that is interiors, architecture, landscape, events or another area of photography. Commercial experience is not essential, but you need to show us that you have an eye and understand your camera.
You should:
· Own a camera you know how to use confidently
· Have a genuine interest in architecture, interiors and design
· Have a solid working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
· Be comfortable learning both photography and video
· Be someone who solves problems before escalating them
· Be highly reliable. Property shoots happen at fixed times and clients are waiting
· Be confident working independently once trained
· Hold a valid driving licence
· Speak good English
· Live in or near Amsterdam and have a practical way of transporting equipment
· Have the right to work in the Netherlands
· Be registered with the KvK as a ZZP'er, or be willing to register, and able to invoice Framedworks
A drone licence, video experience or previous measuring experience are useful, but not required.
Where this goes
The objective is independent paid shoots.
Once you can consistently deliver to the Framedworks standard, you will be able to take on your own assignments for our clients. That can include complete property packages covering photography, video, drone, 360°, LiDAR measurements and floorplans.
There is substantial opportunity to grow for the right candidates. As Framedworks grows, we want to build a reliable network of photographers who can take ownership of shoots independently.
More capability means more responsibility, more shoots and more earning potential.
We would rather invest in developing excellent photographers who can grow with Framedworks than continually hire from scratch.
How it works
You apply.
If your work looks promising, we meet for a coffee.
If that goes well, you come on a real shoot so we can see how you work and you can see how Framedworks operates.
From there, we agree a development structure, freelance rate and schedule in writing.
As soon as you demonstrate that you can handle parts of the workflow independently, you will start taking responsibility for them. The aim is to progress towards running complete Framedworks shoots yourself.
