What You'll Do
Within Meetings & Events (M&E), BCG's rapid growth and transformation has driven the team to evolve to meet the demands of an increasingly complex global event portfolio — building more rigorous operational infrastructure, scaling contingent workforce capabilities, and embedding technology and innovation into how we plan and deliver events worldwide. The team approaches this work with an entrepreneurial, data-driven, and customer-centric mindset, always questioning the status quo and proactively seeking opportunities for improvement, while reinforcing an inclusive culture grounded in collaboration, continuous learning, and adaptability.
Under the general direction of the Meetings & Events Director, you will provide strategic guidance, operational expertise and day-of management for medium to large-size programs (400-3000 attendees) for all meeting formats (in-person, virtual, hybrid) – including WWOM (worldwide officer meeting held twice a year).
As a Manager you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and growing relationships with internal stakeholders - meeting owners - as a thought partner in innovation and operational excellence.
- Overseeing and managing the following areas: event strategy including format, cadence, dates, and city/site selection, evaluation and selection of venues, suppliers and platforms.
- Managing a team responsible for the execution of the program in multiple areas including but not limited to: logistics (including meeting space management, F&B, evening events, etc.), technology, production, design, communication, security. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for selecting partners (preferably from approved supplier lists) and managing the delivery of outsourced elements – such as DMC’s, production companies, freelancers, etc.
You are good at:
- Event management and design – both in person and virtual events
- Working, managing, and leading people within a global meetings operation
- Project management, managing complex networks of stakeholders and deliverables
- Working with a range of digital tools/apps – Trello, Slack, Zoom, Cvent, etc.
- Creative people-centric problem solving – you enjoy resolving issues using critical thinking and analysis, while always keeping the big picture in mind
- Communication skills, both verbal and written and an active listener across all levels of the organization, including senior management
- Interpersonal and relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders and can collaborate cross-functionally across multiple geographies
- Intellectual agility and resourcefulness when faced with significant ambiguity and fluctuating priorities and constraints
- Multi-tasking and can prioritize and manage multiple projects with realistic but aggressive deadlines, you strive in busy environments and can remain calm under stressful situations
- Making complex decisions and enjoy influencing stakeholders (both internal and external) under unfamiliar circumstances
What You'll Bring
- 6-8+ years related experience in the event management (preferably in corporate environment)
- Ideally a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Hospitality, Events or related field
- Organizational skills and ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and the willingness to be an active team player
- Excellent time management skills; must work well with deadlines
- Highly responsive customer service orientation and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Our Global Meetings & Events (M&E) team focuses on creating safe and inspiring environments that bring people together to enable deep connections, accelerate capability building, and create global impact. The group partners closely with senior leaders, functional and regional event teams, and individual meeting planners across the company to enhance overall event experience while creating efficiencies and scale, and lowering risk for all meeting formats (in-person, virtual, & hybrid).
