About the Role
As an Electronics Specialist (m/w/d) within our Electronics Verification team, you will inspect and verify consumer electronics before they are delivered to buyers. Using diagnostic tools and visual inspections, you will confirm that devices are authentic, fully functional, and match the condition and specifications described in the listing.
Your work plays a key role in maintaining trust in the eBay marketplace and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Previous experience inspecting, repairing, refurbishing or handling consumer electronics is beneficial, but not essential. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and have a strong attention to detail.
What You Will Do:
- Run diagnostic software on mobile phones, tablets, laptops and gaming consoles to verify functionality, battery health, carrier status and other technical specifications.
- Inspect devices to ensure their condition and specifications match the listing information.
- Identify and document counterfeit or non-compliant items with clear and accurate findings.
- Verify multiple devices efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Meet daily quality and productivity targets.
- Communicate proactively with your manager regarding daily progress and any operational challenges.
- Work safely and effectively in a warehouse and logistics environment.
- Support other warehouse activities when required.
What You Bring:
- Experience in electronics inspection, refurbishment, repair, warehousing, logistics, shipping/receiving, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout the workday.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with operating systems, Microsoft Office applications and collaboration tools such as Slack.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
