In a compact Business Unit like CDE, you will combine executive leadership and long-term perspective with close involvement in the decisions that drive the business.
Working alongside the Business Unit President and SLT, you will translate strategy into action: from delivering the current Business Plan and strengthening performance to setting future priorities. Your financial insight and constructive challenge will support sound decisions and disciplined execution.
You will lead Finance and Digitalization areas by setting direction, building capability, and engaging in operational detail when needed. By connecting people, data, and commercial priorities, you will enable stronger performance and sustainable value creation.
What We Expect from You and What We Offer You:
What you'll do
- Partner with the Business Unit President and SLT to shape CDE’s vision and strategy, translate them into clear priorities, and lead the delivery of the current Business Plan and the development of future plans.
- Own the planning and performance cycle: from forecasting, reporting, cash, and capital allocation to follow-up with the business.
- Bring insight and constructive challenge to investments, acquisitions, divestments, and other decisions that shape CDE’s future.
- Help turn new opportunities into workable solutions, including business models, partnerships, joint ventures, and investment structures.
- Keep governance, risk, compliance, and internal controls effective and pragmatic, protecting the business while enabling responsible decisions.
- Lead Finance and Digitalization area from roadmap to delivery, using data, analytics, technology, automation, and simpler ways of working to improve decisions and performance.
- Lead and develop the Finance and Digitalization team, creating the trust, accountability, and capabilities people need to do their best work.
- Build strong relationships across CDE, Group functions, business partners, and auditors, and bring Skanska’s values and ethical standards to life in everyday choices.
Who you are
You bring deep financial expertise, strong commercial judgment, and a leadership style that combines strategic perspective with close engagement in the business. You contribute with equal confidence to executive discussions and complex operational challenges, asking insightful questions, bringing people together, and ensuring that decisions lead to results. You are energized by a broad scope of responsibility. Your agility allows you to adapt easily as organizational needs and priorities evolve, while remaining focused and providing the clarity and direction that help others move forward.
We're looking for someone who brings:
- 15 years of professional experience, including people management responsibility, preferably in an international environment.
- Extensive practical expertise in business planning, forecasting, performance management, investment governance, capital allocation, and value creation
- A strong track record of translating strategy into execution.
- A hands-on and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to move effectively between strategic topics, operational priorities, and individual people’s matters.
- Ability to lead change across an international matrix organization.
- The confidence to influence decisions at the executive and board levels, combined with the curiosity to engage closely with operational teams and business partners.
- A background in new business models, partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, divestments, or complex investment structures, as well as finance transformation, digitalization, analytics, or technology-enabled business improvement, will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
- A university degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field, and fluency in spoken and written English.
