At AmRest, our Procurement team plays a key role in driving business performance through strategic sourcing and strong supplier partnerships. We are looking for a Global Operation Category Senior Buyer who will take ownership of the Operational Goods & Services category across all AmRest markets and brands, delivering value through sourcing excellence, cost optimization, and innovative procurement solutions.
Your challenges
Develop and execute sourcing initiatives for Global Operation Category including professional services, smallwares, chemicals, uniforms, and low-value goods
Lead end-to-end sourcing, tendering, and supplier selection processes, managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations to secure the best commercial and operational outcomes.
Deliver savings and efficiency targets through strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier consolidation, spend analysis, and cost optimization projects.
Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Local Procurement teams, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities, support business priorities, and drive global procurement synergies.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring market trends, identifying innovative solutions, and supporting value engineering projects across global operations.
Act as a trusted advisor and category expert, sharing procurement best practices, market insights, and recommendations across the organization.
Your skills & experience
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or category management.
Experience in Operational Goods & Services or Professional Services categories will be considered an advantage.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Proven experience in supplier negotiations, tender management, and contract management.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment.
