Sandvik · Stockholm, Sweden
You apply off-site, with the employer or the job board. I never handle applications.
Turn monitoring signals and recurring incidents into automation that makes IT operations faster, more proactive and increasingly self-healing. Join our Tools & Automation team and help improve observability, event management and remediation across the IT landscape.
Why Sandvik?
Here, hands-on engineering meets a clear purpose: improving service reliability and reducing repetitive operational work. You become part of a small team delivering shared capabilities for Group IT Operations.
- Develop solutions that reduce alert noise, manual effort and mean time to resolution.
- Work across observability, event management, automation, ITSM and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate closely with architects, product ownership and operational teams.
About your job
As a Solution Engineer, you build, configure and operate platforms that support application and infrastructure health. A key focus is AIOps and auto-remediation, where you use incidents, events and monitoring data to create safe, automated solutions. You work within the architecture and standards defined by the Solution Architect and according to priorities set by the Product Owner.
Job responsibilities
- Identify high-volume, repetitive or high-MTTR scenarios suitable for automation.
- Create workflows that detect, diagnose and resolve common incidents with little or no manual intervention.
- Enable proactive remediation based on anomalies and early-warning signals.
- Configure metrics, log analytics, synthetic monitoring, dashboards, alerts and SLI/SLO tracking.
- Implement event correlation, noise reduction, alert enrichment and automated root-cause hints.
- Create integration and delivery pipelines across observability, event management, ITSM and cloud platforms using automation, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
Location
This is an on-site position with Stockholm WTC as the primary location and Sandviken as the secondary location.
Your profile
You’re an experienced, hands-on engineer who knows how to turn operational data into reliable automation. Your background combines observability or monitoring with scripting, integrations and modern delivery practices.
Your background includes
- Experience with automated remediation or self-healing workflows that reduce MTTR.
- Hands-on knowledge of observability and monitoring, including metrics, log analytics or synthetic monitoring.
- Automation development using Python, REST APIs and scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps or Infrastructure as Code, as well as integrations across monitoring, event, ITSM or cloud platforms.
- A relevant university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional English skills, verbally and in writing.
An automation-first mindset helps you spot patterns and turn them into practical improvements. You’re analytical, forward-looking and comfortable taking ownership, and your collaborative approach makes it easy to work with stakeholders across technical and business teams. Just as importantly, you balance bold automation ambitions with operational safety and sound judgment.
