A 47m sailing yacht is seeking a full-time Chief Officer to join its established dual-season programme.
They are looking for a capable sailor who can confidently lead the crew and provide stability across day-to-day deck operations.
The ideal candidate will hold an OOW and have a strong background aboard large sailing yachts. This could suit someone who has recently completed their OOW following several years as a Bosun, or an established Chief Officer building the experience and sea time required to progress towards running their own programme.
Experience with Rondal deck equipment, Transas ECDIS and Compass software would be a significant advantage. Large tender-driving experience is also highly desirable, as the Chief Officer will oversee the yacht’s new 12.8m twin-inboard Protector chase boat.
The yacht operates a mixed private and charter programme with eight crew and up to six guests. The upcoming itinerary includes a Caribbean crossing, followed by the US East Coast and potentially the Gulf of St Lawrence.
- Salary: DOE
- Leave: 35 days annually, plus 10 additional days for courses
- Successful courses funded at 50%
- OOW required
- Schengen visa required on joining
- B1/B2 required by summer
- Fluent English essential
