In this role, you will lead a team of Applied AI Engineers working closely with Siemens DI functions to identify, design, deliver, and operate impactful AI solutions. You will help stakeholders understand what is possible with AI, translate domain challenges into concrete impactful use cases, and guide solutions from early discovery through prototype, MVP, and production readiness.
How you will make an Impact with us
- Lead a team of Applied AI Engineers delivering impactful AI solutions for Siemens DI business functions.
- Partner with domain/functions experts and business stakeholders to transform internal processes with AI.
- Translate business pain points or business process into clear AI use cases, technical solution concepts, value KPIs, and delivery plans.
- Guide AI solutions from consulting and PoV/prototype through MVP and production-ready operation.
- Provide technical leadership on AI architecture, software engineering, evaluation, monitoring, and security.
- Coach AI engineers in both technical excellence and stakeholder-facing consulting.
- Build trust with senior stakeholders by explaining AI opportunities, limitations, risks, and value potential.
- Ensure AI solutions are robust, secure, maintainable, compliant, and measurable.
- Collaborate with DI IT, HUB, platform teams, cybersecurity, legal, worker-council stakeholders, product teams, and domain organizations.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, or software engineering.
- 2+ years of experience leading AI engineers/ Data Scientist, or complex cross-functional technical software initiatives.
- Proven hands-on experience designing, building, and delivering AI/ML solutions cloud first, including evaluation, guardrails, and observability.
- Strong software engineering foundation, including Python, APIs, data pipelines, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production operations in the cloud.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both executives and AI engineers.
- Strong business-value orientation and ability to define measurable business outcomes and drive the technical implantation to measure them after go live.
- Experience in enterprise environments with security, compliance, data governance, and integration constraints.
- High ownership, pragmatic judgment, and the ability to create clarity in ambiguous situations.
- In this role, your focus will be on sales (configuration, pricing, quoting, sales ops & performance) related business functions and SHERPA related use cases.
