About the job

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join us at our HQ at Teglholmen, where you will take up a key role in our Legal team.

Position Overview and ideal candidate

The ideal candidate has solid experience with litigation, dispute resolution and legal risk management, combined with the motivation and interpersonal skills to take on a team-lead role for a group of experienced legal student assistants. You will be part of our Legal team, work closely with a senior litigation attorney and contribute more broadly to advising the business on other legal matters in close collaboration with the team’s other attorneys and legal specialists.

You will:

• Manage claims recovery and litigation in damages cases related to infrastructure damage, including assessing legal risk, developing case strategy and following up on overall performance.
• Act as team lead for our legal student assistants who all work with these cases, including prioritizing tasks, supporting development, ensuring quality in deliveries and helping create a positive learning and collaboration environment.
• Provide pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice across a broader range of legal areas, mainly contracts, working closely with senior colleagues in Legal and with stakeholders across the business
• Support commercial streams and projects where litigation experience, risk assessment and clear legal judgement are important to business decisions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes, including AI optimization, knowledge sharing and ways of working across the legal team

About you

We also imagine that you:

• Preferably have 3+ years of experience from a law firm, in-house legal role or similar, with solid experience handling litigation, disputes and legal risk assessments
• Is a qualified attorney with right of audience, or an assistant attorney close to obtaining right of audience
• Either have the right to appear before the High Courts or a wish to obtain the right
• Have an interest in people leadership and the motivation to guide, prioritize and develop a team of legal student assistants
• Bring a solid commercial mindset and enjoy advising the business on varied legal questions in collaboration with other lawyers and legal specialists
