We believe you have the below qualifications:
- Solid background in Communication, Strategic Communication, with a proven ability to develop clear narratives and managed multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, leading communication work and coordinating cross functional teams.
- Minimum 8 years of leadership experience, aligned with IKEA leadership expectations with the capability to build, develop, and lead a high-performing team ensuring a strong, inclusive, and value-driven organisational culture.
- Recent experience from business operations.
- A proactive and independent contributor who prioritizes effectively, navigates complexity and drives clarity and alignment across stakeholders and is comfortable having difficult conversations. Key responsibilities (title) Your responsibilities Key responsibilities (text) As a Communication Business Manager, you will lead the communication agenda for the Commercial organisation, helping shape how business strategies, priorities and transformations are understood, translated into action, and brought to life across the organisation.
As a member of the Commercial Management Team, you will play a key role in supporting business growth, commercial priorities and strengthening the IKEA brand through strategic and impactful communication. You will act as a trusted communication advisor to senior leaders, bringing an outside-in perspective, challenging thinking when needed, and ensuring communication contributes to meaningful business outcomes.
You will lead and develop a team of seven Communication Business Partners, creating the conditions for collaboration, growth and high-quality delivery. Through clear leadership, coaching and a focus on continuous improvement, you will enable the team to deliver communication that creates business impact.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Set and drive the strategic communication agenda that directly supports Ingka business priorities, strengthens the IKEA brand, and creates clarity and confidence for consumers, co-workers, and other key stakeholders
- Translate complex business strategy into clear communication priorities, setting direction, expectations, and standards that enable teams to deliver high-quality, consistent communication at scale.
- Act as a senior communication advisor to executive and senior leaders, shaping strong, credible narratives that build trust, engagement, and alignment across the organisation.
- Ensure high-quality and consistent communication delivery by setting clear expectations and guiding teams on standards and best practices.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team, fostering an inclusive, value-driven culture with strong leadership, accountability, collaboration, and a clear focus on outcomes.
This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, at our Hubhult office. Please note that we do not offer a relocation package for this role. Therefore, we are looking for candidates who already live within a reasonable commuting distance of Malmö.
