About the job
The Senior Manager Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting is a key member of the Accounting and Reporting team. In this role, you will be responsible for technical accounting matters, the development and maintenance of accounting policies, external financial reporting, business partnering across the organization, and selected corporate close activities including related SOX controls.
You will play a leading role in supporting the company on its IPO journey and related compliance requirements, while driving continuous improvement and transformation within the finance organization. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and are expected to be an effective communicator, highly organized, and able to document complex accounting conclusions in a clear and concise manner.
In your future role as Senior Manager Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting you will
- A team leader in technical accounting assessments on topics such as pensions and stock-based compensation
- Draft technical white papers to address accounting issues under IFRS;
- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS and SEC reporting requirements, including preparation for an IPO;
- Assist in developing, implementing and preparing internal controls to ensure SOX compliance;
- Resolve accounting matters with internal stakeholders and external auditors;
- Issue any necessary changes in accounting policies for our global organization
- Be part of the team which will lead a potential transformation from IFRS to US GAAP in future periods after potential IPO;
- Drive continuous improvement of the financial reporting process, identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
We believe you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- 10+ years of experience including at the Big 4, and preferably in a Corporate HQ
- CPA/CA or similar Accounting certification
- Experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS;
- Experience with process/controls documentation

- Experience with SAP and Workiva

- A permanent contract with a probationary period of 2 months.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Amsterdam (Amsterdam-Zuid Oost). You will report directly to the Assistant Corporate Controller, who is also based in Amsterdam.
