The compressor NVH test operator will perform testing on mechanical and electrical compressors for the automotive industry. The testing will be performed within a full component anechoic chamber. The tasks to be performed will be verifying the test part, preparing the part for test, setting up the desired test equipment with the part in the correct orientation and procedures defined either internally or by our customer.
The test operator must ensure the data reliability of the tests completed by ensuring the test bench is operating in the correct manner, final test data will be analyzed by the NVH test engineer.
The test operator will be required to operate on other various test equipment for the purposes of validating the products as is required for the validation requirements.
Your Contribution
Ensure all customer confidentiality requirements are met and continually adhered to.
Comply with all local safety requirements and maintain a clean, orderly storage and working area.
Employees must be able to work additional hours and/or additional days during the working week which can be in excess of forty (40) hours per week. Employee must be open to a 2nd or 3rd shift assignment if required during employment.
Mechanical fixing test compressors to the test equipment to run the desired tests.
Following the test requirements and reporting structure as required.
Continual improvement processes on the test equipment and within the test laboratory.
Your Experience & Qualifications
Minimum educational background HNC, BTEC-Meas Eng, BAC+3 Technical.
English required.
Automotive Mechanical knowledge, basics.
Signal processing techniques, basics.
Refrigeration/AC knowledge.
Required good Electrical and/or Electronics Knowledge.
Experience or knowledge in noise and vibration testing would be an asset.
Mechanical competence.
Knowledgeable with PC’s, email and MS Office applications.
