About this Position
What you´ll do
- Define and drive Henkel’s Unified Data Layer strategy and roadmap, establishing a trusted, reusable, and AI-ready data foundation that connects data, business context, and knowledge across the enterprise
- Build and lead the Unified Data Layer organization, covering data architecture management, semantic technologies, metadata and knowledge management, and unified data experience capabilities
- Establish and govern the enterprise-wide semantic backbone, including business definitions, metadata, knowledge graphs, data contracts, lineage, quality standards, and ownership models to ensure one trusted version of truth
- Own the Unified Data Experience, enabling humans and AI agents to discover, understand, request, access, and consume trusted data products through a seamless one-stop-shop experience
- Scale the enterprise data product ecosystem, defining standards, lifecycle management, interoperability requirements, API strategies, and domain ownership models to make data reusable by design
- Enable interoperability across the data and technology landscape, connecting platforms such as SAP, Databricks, Power BI, Fabric, Salesforce, and future ecosystem services through a unified architectural framework
What makes you a good fit
- Master’s degree in computer science, data management, business informatics, engineering, or a related field
- At least 8 years of experience in data architecture, data governance, data products, or enterprise data transformation, with proven leadership of complex teams and initiatives
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into reusable data products, semantic standards, and scalable enterprise data capabilities
- Expert knowledge of data mesh, metadata management, semantic layers, knowledge graphs, data contracts, APIs, and data quality frameworks
- Excellent skills and acumen in building trusted, governed, and user-centric data access experiences for business users, BI solutions, and AI agents and advanced knowledge of modern data ecosystems and interoperability patterns across cloud, Lakehouse, SAP, BI, unstructured data, and AI/agentic architectures
- Fluent in English; German language skill is a plus
