About us

The Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) is a Dutch International Primary and Secondary School offering international education in English to 2400 students of more than 80 different nationalities who are (temporarily) living in the Netherlands and are enjoying high quality, accessible, community based international learning.

The AICS is a partly-state-funded community school, which enables us to deliver high-quality education at competitive fees. We were the first school in the Netherlands to offer the full IB continuum (IB, PYP, MYP, DP and CP) and are a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

You are a learning specialist who values collaboration, demonstrates flexibility in a dynamic environment, and is committed to the continuous development of both students and your own professional practice.

• At least two years of learning support experience - preferably in an international school setting
• A DUO validated teaching degree and/or learning specialist qualification
• Excellent knowledge of diverse learning challenges
• You excel in planning and organising engaging support lessons while building and maintaining strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• An understanding and knowledge of various cultural backgrounds
• Excellent command of the English language and communication skills
• A commitment to the school’s mission to provide high-quality community-based international learning in the form of the IB programme
• A resilient attitude and a good sense of humour

• Salary in - payscale 9, based upon knowledge and experience (min. €3.366,- max. €5.086,- full-time per month, before tax)
